About The Cleaver world wide family
Please sign in to see more. Welcome to a family tree which starts with the family of William Cleaver who married Elizabeth Dunstone on 2nd February 1770. William and Elizabeth's children, with one exception, were born in Fortwilliam in Scotland where, I believe, William was in the Army. On his death, the family came to the area of Bishopstone in Sussex.
The family spread to the West Indies, Victoria and Tasmania in Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and within the UK and those with a direct "blood line" to William Cleaver are noted in this family tree with an aquamarine dot at their name.
Linked families are in Canada, Australia, USA, UK and Ireland and include the surnames White, Weatherhog, Richards, Shepherd, Middleditch, Martin, Lockwood, Edwards, Bright, Bridger, Trannack and many others.
Each of these families are rich in their ancestry and I have been lucky to make contact with descendants of some of those families who have shared their information and helped me build the connections.Even more significantly; those same contacts have provided photographs of some of their ancestors and this has been wonderful in terms of putting a face to the bare bones of Census or other birth/marriage/death information.
